A stone’s throw from Campo dei Fiore, we managed to find Emma’s ‘pizzeria con cucina’ and grab a table on the outside terrace.
I think nearly every restaurant we went to in Rome offered the possibility of burrata as an appetizer. And we ordered it every time! I’m not sure how I’d compare them, because they all tasted absolutely delicious to us.
My Caccio y Pepe (cheese and pepper) pasta was delicious. Ah, that fresh pasta in Italy. The simplicity of flavours. And how rich the food, with all that yummy olive oil and cheese.
Sadly, while I was really looking forward to my traditional meatballs, I found them dry and not so tasty. It looked good, but didn’t live up to the promise.
Still, it’s a popular restaurant, with great reviews. So perhaps I didn’t order quite right. And the Italian wine we had was, as usual, delicious.
