Sydney Food Diary: Hong Kong Diner, Spice Alley

I love Spice Alley in Chippendale for a quick and easy meal with friends, where you can all choose what you want from whichever stall you want.

I was in the mood for a bowl of Cantonese noodles, and noticed a big sign saying the special was Beef Brisket. So, for $12, a very generous portion of very tender beef, with a savoury broth and wonton noodles.  My mom ordered wonton soup and slipped me one, and was really happy with all the vegetables she got, though thought the wonton were frozen.

Since I hail originally from Vancouver, it’s hard to please me on this dish; if you ever visit Vancouver, you must try their beef brisket won ton noodles. In the meantime, this was fine.
